AppLovin ads for food and beverage brands put your product in a full-screen moment inside mobile games, and a WKND-managed CPG account went from $111/day to $12.9K/day in 18 days. WKND runs AppLovin Ads end to end for ecommerce brands: account and feed setup, ROAS-goal bidding, creative built for app placements, and measurement checked against blended MER. Below is a real food and beverage CPG account we manage, and how we run one.

AppLovin ads appear mainly in interstitial placements between game moments and in rewarded placements users choose to watch. The format runs from a portrait video into an Interactive Page or image, then a Dynamic Catalog.
Show it being used. The video has more room than a short feed ad to demonstrate the product, establish proof and answer objections. For food and drink, plan for taste, texture, preparation and the moment it's used. AppLovin notes UGC-style videos often perform well and recommends captions for sound-off viewing.
Offers. Consider testing subscribe-and-save and bundles as offers. Keep the same offer and product context from the video to the destination.
Catalog. Set flavors and pack sizes up as variants. Item and variant IDs, pricing, availability, images and product URLs need to match. Missing fields, disapproved items, or a stale feed shrink what the engine can show, which shrinks what it can learn.
Goal. Choose ROAS for revenue or CPP for purchases, and set the target from contribution margin and CAC.
Attributed conversions alone do not prove AppLovin traffic is incremental. Read the result alongside new-customer revenue, branded search, Amazon or retail lift, and blended efficiency. That matters if your products also sell through retailers or Amazon.
For a clean read, we run a geo holdout when AppLovin is 10% or more of spend, or an on/off test when it's smaller.

They can. The WKND-managed CPG account above grew daily spend from $111.12 to $12,954.25 in 18 days at 2.52x NC D28 ROAS. Results vary by account.
The account above is a food and beverage CPG brand. The brands that win on AppLovin have proven product-market fit, prior paid scale of $10k+/day with positive unit economics, and strong creative volume.
AppLovin says advertisers can launch with as little as $10 per day. That is a technical entry point, not a serious development budget for most growth-stage brands. WKND works with brands prepared to invest at least $500 per day. The $500 figure is WKND's qualification threshold, not an AppLovin platform minimum or a performance guarantee. WKND's ideal client already runs $10k+/day in paid spend with positive unit economics.
It's an AppLovin Ads new-customer cohort metric from the stated reporting window. Platform attribution can differ from blended or incrementality measurement.
AppLovin Ads is now open to all advertisers, so a referral code is no longer required. AppLovin removed the requirement on June 22, 2026.

Blended MER is total revenue divided by total ad spend across every channel. AppLovin reports that 80% of web conversions happen within 24 hours of the click, which makes the platform number fast.
Treat platform ROAS as the engine's scorecard for its own optimization, and judge the channel on blended and incremental results. Our position is that no channel earns scaled budget on its own reporting, Axon included, and the brands that have scaled on Axon are the ones that tested first.
