Frequently asked
Questions we get before every engagement
Pricing, timelines, ownership, and how AI search changes the work — answered directly.
Working together
How does an engagement start?
Every engagement begins with an audit. We crawl the site, map the queries that produce revenue in your market, and score your current position against the businesses ranking above you. You see the findings and a scoped plan before you commit to anything.
Are we locked into a contract?
No. Programmes run month to month. You can stop at the end of any month, and we provide a handover document covering current priorities and open work so nothing is left stranded.
Who actually does the work?
A named senior strategist owns your account and is your point of contact throughout. Technical, content, and authority work are handled by specialists in each discipline, reviewed weekly against the plan agreed at the audit stage.
What do we own if we leave?
Everything. Pages, accounts, tracking configuration, documentation, and any asset produced during the engagement belong to you and stay with you.
Results and timelines
How long until we see results?
Technical and on-page work usually produces early ranking movement in eight to twelve weeks. Meaningful lead volume typically follows in four to six months. Competitive markets take longer, and we tell you which category yours falls into during the audit rather than afterwards.
What is the 90-day results guarantee?
Within the first ninety days we commit to delivering measurable movement against the baseline established in your audit — expanded query coverage, ranking improvement on priority terms, and resolved technical blockers. If we do not, you are not obliged to continue.
What early signals tell us it is working?
Watch the number of distinct queries returning your site at all. Query coverage expands before positions improve, positions improve before traffic grows, and traffic grows before revenue follows. If coverage is not expanding by week eight, something needs to change.
How do you report progress?
Monthly, on conversions grouped by query cluster rather than on average ranking position. You see which clusters produced enquiries, which consumed effort without returning any, and what we are reinvesting in or retiring as a result.
Scope and pricing
How much does it cost?
Cost depends on market competitiveness, the condition of your site, and how many service or location pages you need. We scope after the audit and price a fixed monthly programme with no setup fee. You see the full scope and expected timeline before you commit.
How is this different from hiring in-house?
An in-house hire gives you dedicated time but a single skill set. Technical, content, and authority work each need different expertise. We staff all three, with no ramp-up period while a new hire learns the category and no gap if one person is unavailable.
How is this different from a freelancer?
Freelancers usually specialise in one layer, most often content. Rankings require technical repair, architecture, content, and authority together. We also report against conversions rather than rankings alone, which most solo engagements are not set up to do.
We tried SEO before and it failed. Why would this be different?
Most failed programmes published content without fixing indexation or measuring conversions. We show you the audit findings before you commit, so you can see exactly what the previous engagement skipped and judge for yourself whether our diagnosis is credible.
AI search and advertising
Does SEO still matter if buyers use AI assistants?
It matters more, and it changes shape. Assistants draw their answers from indexed pages, so the underlying work still applies. What changes is that answers must be extractable — a self-contained response to a clear question that survives being quoted out of context.
How do you measure visibility inside AI assistants?
We track a fixed set of buyer-intent prompts across the major assistants on a schedule, recording whether you are mentioned, in what position, and how you are described. It is directional rather than exact, and it is considerably better than assuming the channel does not exist.
Should we run paid search alongside SEO?
Usually yes, at least initially. Paid search answers in two weeks what organic takes six months to reveal: which queries convert profitably. We use that data to decide what to build organically, then reduce spend on terms as organic rankings take over.
